PTAA Learning Academy - Practical Ai Skills

𝗣𝗧𝗔𝗔 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗺𝘆 𝗘𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗽𝘀 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗹 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝗜 𝗦𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀

The Philippine Travel Agencies Association (PTAA™) Learning Academy, in partnership with ASCEND HROD and Learning Management, held the hybrid seminar “AI-Powered Travel Agents: Leveraging AI for Faster, Smarter, and More Effective Travel Agencies” on October 5 at the Dr. Francisco V. Tankiang Hall (FVT Hall) in Mandaluyong City.

Spearheaded by PTAA Learning Academy Education Chair and Assistant Secretary General Cherry Caritativo, the session brought together travel professionals onsite and online to explore practical ways AI can support travel agency operations and streamline everyday work.

PTAA President Jaison Yang and Executive Vice President Evelyn Bondagjy were also present during the session.

Speaker Azreal Maniego discussed the growing role of AI in the travel industry, highlighting how travel professionals can use the technology to enhance their work while keeping the human element at the center of customer service.

“AI can do everything a human can do. But one thing it cannot have is emotions,” Maniego said, emphasizing the importance of empathy and human connection in the travel industry.

Participants also took part in hands-on activities, including using AI to develop travel packages and practicing how to create effective prompts for more accurate and useful results.

The exercises demonstrated that AI can serve as a practical tool alongside the expertise of travel professionals—from developing travel products to improving everyday processes.

The seminar forms part of the PTAA Learning Academy’s continuing efforts to equip travel professionals with relevant skills and knowledge as the industry adapts to emerging technologies and evolving customer expectations.
